Christopher Barrat is one of the leading thinkers, writers and speakers on purchasing. He has seen the world of purchasing both from within, as a purchasing director with ICI, and from without, as a sales and business manager. This gives him real and unique experience in how to deal with the purchasing dilemma – ie how to get the right people, how to deal with the business units, and how to get your point across. Christopher has co-authored the popular book ‘Buying for Business’ and is working with CIPS ‘visioning panels’ to look at future trends in business and procurement.
